Inspiring experience
Habitation Clément is characterised by the maintenance of its industrial activity, i.e. the cultivation of sugar cane and the ageing and preparation of rum, at the heart of the cultural and heritage site. This dual activity, industrial and cultural, makes it little more than a business or a museum, with a Creole home and a former distillery listed as a historic monument since 1996.
The Habitation Clément is home to the Clément Foundation and its activities. The Clément Foundation carries out sponsorship activities in favour of the arts and architectural and cultural heritage in the Caribbean and Indian Ocean.
