Well before arriving in the commune, you can admire all along the coast the majestic jewel to which Le Diamant owes its name.
For the record, during the colonial wars between France and England the English navy soldiers occupying the Rocher christened it "HMS Diamond Roc". Le Rocher du Diamant, a 175m-high volcanic rock, 4km from the beach, is home to a good number of seabirds.
Le Diamant is a major seaside resort with its many hotels, restaurants, bars, activities leisure and discovery, its souvenir stores and viewpoints.
