The forest covers a third of the territory of Gros Morne, an agricultural commune in central Martinique. Thanks to its topography, it offers remarkable views of the Caravelle peninsula or the Deux-Choux forest road.
In this hydrophilic forest, hiking is the queen activity. Picnics in the forest or at the cascades of Saut Argis, offer real moments of intimacy with nature.
To visit: flower and food crops, Creole gardens, arts and crafts workshops, the 19th-century church, artisanal manioc and toloman factories, not forgetting the Habitation Saint-Etienne with its distillery, banana plantations and landscaped park.
In the near future, the "Jardins du Gros-Morne" site will be dedicated to showcasing the botanical diversity of the West Indies.
