Rejuvenating experience
Located to the north of the Caravelle peninsula, near the last houses of Tartane. L'anse l'étang is a long, beautiful beach of fine sand, very well equipped with a number of picnic areas and a lifeguard station to ensure the safety of swimmers.
The water is rather rough due to its orientation towards the Atlantic, but the cove is protected by shoals on which the waves break.
It's a very pleasant spot, frequented by local families, tourists and surfers alike, who find it an interesting spot. The centre of the beach is the best spot for a swim, but it's perhaps best to go there during the week or in the morning to take full advantage of the almost deserted area... A beautiful beach indeed.
