The bay of Robert is protected by a string of 10 islets, making it one of the most beautiful in the Caribbean. Nestling at the end of this sumptuous bay, le Robert is also a green and mountainous hinterland, notably with Vert-Pré.
The marine breeding of fish, Loup des Caraïbes and Saint-Pierre, now feeds many restaurants.
Le havre du Robert is the ideal body of water for coastal yachting and also for the organization of races of round skiffs and regattas.
The commune's seafront consists of two hilly points jutting out into the sea, Pointe Larose to the south and Pointe Jean-Claude to the north. Exceptional marine flora and fauna thrive here. Numerous coves support the growth of a mangrove of rare beauty.
Loup Garou islet, unique in Martinique, is a very white, fine sandbank resting on a bed of madreporic rocks.
Don't miss:
- Les églises du Robert et du Vert-Pré,
- Les bassins et cascades de Fond Nicolas,
- L'îlet Chancel, Martinique's largest, home to wild iguanas
- Les fonds blancs, sandy shoals between the islets are the setting for unforgettable water excursions
- L'îlet Madame offers a splendid beach with turquoise-blue waters. Its white seabed is a veritable swimming pool for bathers.
