Rejuvenating experience
The Montravail forest is part of the Forêt Départementalo-Domaniale du Sud, which is made up of thirteen forest areas managed by the ONF. Located in the commune of Sainte-Luce, this 70-hectare forest is unique in this part of the island. It offers a humid forest atmosphere, where you can recharge your batteries away from the heat of the coast. The forest was refurbished in 2014 and 2015 by the ONF, and now boasts 3 reception areas with picnic and rest areas, as well as a network of loop trails for exploring the forest and the watercourses that run through it.
Since June 2015, the forest has been adorned with monumental wooden sculptures that can be seen along the forest road (pedestrianised).
