The TransMartinique isn't just about running 134 kilometers. It means facing the elements, climbing mountains, crossing tropical forests, skirting heavenly beaches... It's also about sharing intense moments with other enthusiasts, surpassing yourself and discovering an island from a totally new angle.
The first kilometers are always a phase of adaptation. The body gets into gear, the mind concentrates. The landscapes pass by, sometimes green, sometimes arid, offering a grandiose spectacle. You feel very small in the face of nature's immensity.
As the hours go by, the difficulties accumulate. The climbs get steeper, the descents more technical. But these are also the times when you feel most alive. Every step is a victory, every obstacle a challenge overcome.
At night, another world opens up. The forest becomes a mysterious place, populated by unfamiliar sounds. The headlamp barely lights the way, but it's enough to guide us. It's in these moments of solitude that we come face to face with ourselves.
